Whooo! Kicking off a brand new series we are looking at under 25s business successors, this week let's check out Zoella.
'Be the best version of you'
By the end of that year, she had accumulated over 1000 followers, and in September 2015, her site had over 540 million visits in its whole history. Her very successful blog soon expanded to contain a new YouTube venture. Around this time, she was working for New Look, a clothing retailer you are probably familiar with.
The Telegraph hailed Zoella as one of the most influential users of the social media site Twitter in 2013. From June 2017, her main YouTube channel had gained over 11.8 million subscribers, and is the 50’th most subscribed channel on all of YouTube.
'All you need is tea and warm socks'
She has also launched her own range of beauty products, back in September 2014, which proved to be very popular in the lead up to Christmas.
Her TV appearances include being on Loose Women, a famous ladies’ chat show, Comic Relief’s version of the Great British Bake Off, and This Morning, on which she shared about her struggle with anxiety, and the widespread issue it is among young people.
'99% of things you worry about will never happen'
Anxiety is a theme very close to Zoella’s heart, as we see in blog posts and YouTube videos in which she shares her own struggles, and offers support to others going through the same thing.
In this video, she explains in a very honest and vulnerable way that life is not always as fun and glamorous as it looks on social media and on camera, and that being famous doesn’t mean she does not have her struggles. She also shares tried and tested tips for people to use.
