All the change lockdown has brought has probably made life pretty chaotic for so many of us. Our exercise, sleep, food, morning and evening routines have probably fallen out of sync, and need a bit of a reboot.
When we have established and healthy daily routines, we are able to life better, as we can think clearer, and move around more easily through what each day throws at us. It keeps us in control. Routines provide a secure framework to fit everything else around.
If you are reading this and thinking “yes, that’s me, I’ve let my routines slide”, it can seem like you have a lot of work to do to get back to normal - but re-setting shouldn’t be scary or demanding if we are patient with ourselves and give it time, doing things bit by bit.
Maybe this week, you might want to start by building better night routines to fix your sleeping patterns - or you might want to start exercising again - whatever suits you best.
