We hope your 2019 is going ok so far... Amazing new content will be coming up on the blog and social media channels in the coming weeks. Your Brand New Year The process of heading into the new year seems to have two elements to it - looking back and reflecting on the previous year and remembering our high points, and celebrating our great outcomes, as well as accepting and moving on gracefully from the low points - and also anticipating what’s to come, and making plans for what personal and professional projects we want to embark on, and what we want to build on and invest in. I don’t know about you, but the anticipation bit is my favourite… I and the team at Curricula & Co have been doing some planning recently, and are really excited about what we have planned for you in the coming months across the Entrepreneurship and Employability Academies, and the weekly blog content off the back of this. Entrepreneur Academy Many of you who we have had the privilege of mentoring and working with on the Entrepreneur Academy have been successfully established as functioning start-ups and sole traders, and this is brilliant. We are proud of every single one of you, and all the hard work and effort you have put in to bring you to this point. But in 2019, we want to raise the bar with our teaching programmes to help you raise the bar for your businesses. That’s why we are launching BRAND NEW COURSES to empower you to drive your business forward into bigger growth and to push more boundaries. This looks like understanding how the machinery of a business works - all the different parts and departments of a company, and how they all work together. The aim is that these programmes will be a catalyst for you to move towards things like taking on more staff and becoming a team leader as your business moves into bigger things. The new courses will be covering three topics - Leadership, Marketing and Operations. Employability Academy - Educating the Educators In 2018, we have had loads of fun working with students and teachers in schools across Manchester and the North West. It’s been really exciting to see the potential and talents in young people as they have jumped in and had a go at business activities and uncovered possibilities of what their future career paths might look like. In the coming year, we are going to be focusing on more and more schools in the inner city, where the biggest needs are for support, empowerment and opportunities. Many teachers and educators are finding that hundreds of young people do not know what their skills are, and struggle to find a sense of direction. So, we are going to be spending lots of time with teachers and decision makers in schools where the need is greatest. The aim is to create space for collaboration with our city’s education leaders with the goal of raising awareness of young people of all the opportunities there are for them in the area of employability - to make the world of work accessible, and to provide teachers with tools and strategy to make this possible. On a practical level, this will happen through high school assemblies, engaging and inspiring young people to think about options with the help of our existing program that has been tried and tested. New Blog and Social Media Content
As the year starts to unfold, we will be sharing more detailed information about our new and improved services, as well as more real stories from people who are benefitting from our academies. So keep an eye out on our social media channels and the blog page of our website to keep up to date on developments as they happen… I’ve been having loads of fun coming up with new Wednesday Inspiring stories! You will get to meet some of today’s most successful online entrepreneurs who are using innovative methods to attract audiences and grow their personal brand, from photographers all the way through to social media influencers. The blog will have more of a practical element, as we glean up-to-the-minute tips and tricks from the experts that you can apply to your business today! To support the new courses we have in the pipeline for our Entrepreneur Academy, we will be giving you bite-sized chunks of information about the different departments of a business, and how they are important in their own way. Other series’ will be based on specific subjects such as leadership and marketing. Again, super practical and relatable. So, that’s our plan for the new year...what do you have up your sleeve for your business in 2019? We hope you have a great time celebrating, and we look forward to seeing you online very soon. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Best wishes from Rebekah and the team xx |
