Dave Lewis became the CEO of supermarket giant Tesco back in 2014, having worked for Unilever for 27 years, having worked his way up from a graduate position to President of Personal Care. In the early 90s, he started the Dove personal care brand, and 10 years later launched the Dove Real Beauty campaign, which used ordinary women in its advertisements, rather than models.
Tesco is the largest seller of Unilever and Dove products in the UK, so Lewis’s experience in various UK and international roles in Unilever was an asset to his new leadership position.
A keen runner, having completed the London Marathon, Dave is passionate about increasing people’s health and wellbeing.
