It’s the middle of the week again, so here’s another inspiring story to help you on your way… Kevin Plank - From Broke to CEO Kevin Plank is the founder and CEO of fitness wear company Under Armour that creates signature clothing. When he began the business, he was the next nearest thing to broke. To fund his start-up, he used his entire life savings and borrowed twice that amount, which left him in severe debt. What a risk to take! But his perseverance in the face of big setbacks and a slow start was not in vain...he eventually landed a huge deal with Georgia Tech University, which led to him making sales to two NFL teams. NFL is the biggest national football league in America. The publicity from these sales led to him gaining millions more sales, and needing to employ hundreds of staff! At this point in time, Under Armour employs nearly 6000 members of staff, and makes nearly $2billion annually in retail sales.
