Blue Ribbon Sports rose to success very rapidly. In its first year of trade, they sold over 1300 pairs of running shoes. The following year, they were able to employ a full time staff member. Also, sales revenue skyrocketed to $20,000, and their first retail shop was opened in 1966 in California.

Today, Nike sells a wide and diverse range of specialist sports equipment for sports including tennis, basketball, cricket, ice hockey and athletics. In more recent decades, their clothing ranges, including track suits and leisure wear, came to define modern mainstream hip hop, street and urban youth culture, and they continue to do so.
