If you’ve ever heard of the famous publication the Huffington Post, you can probably guess how Arianna Huffington rose to fame. This amazing lady wears many hats.

But you have to do what you dream of doing even while you are afraid.

Throughout her life, she has accomplished an unusually large variety of things. She is an author, business woman, politician, editor-in-chief of a world famous publication, as well as a TV presenter and motivational speaker. ​

Originally from Athens, Greece, and now 67 years of age, she first arrived in the UK at the age of 16 to study economics at Cambridge University. During her time as a student, she became the first foreign person and the third female to serve as president of the Cambridge Students’ Union.

Her writing career really took off in the 1970s. To start with, a lot of her work had a feminist theme. In the late 1980s, she wrote a selection of articles for National Reviews, as well as a number of biographies of notable figures including her work on the life of Pablo Picasso, entitled Picasso: Creator and Destroyer.

Alongside her husband, Michael Huffington, Arianna became involved in political matters, and was an avid supporter of the republicans. She served as a panelist on a prominent weekly talk show on BBC Radio 4, as well as being a regular feature on BBC game shows including Call My Bluff and Face The Music.

In May 2007, she and her husband launched the Huffington Post, an internet publishing project that was a platform for great minds to collaborate and discuss all manner of subjects, from serious things such as politics and current world affairs, to entertainment and lifestyle.

Arianna has since launched a health and wellbeing business called Thrive Global. Her website contains many articles on things such as mental health, confidence building, and self-care. Her most recent success is her book, the Sleep Revolution, which deals with the impact that sleep or the lack of it can have on every aspect of our lives and potential success.

Arianna Huffington is an example of how you really don’t have to stick to one thing all the way through your life. If you love to do lots of different things, you can thrive in that. I love how Arianna wasn’t too concerned with fitting into one particular box. She let her imagination run wild, and even in her later years, she is trying new things and starting new ventures....
